Warning on scam SMS messages

Warning abouts scam SMS messages

Customers please be aware - First Alliance Federal Credit Union is one of numerous American and New Zealand banks that have been targeted by scam attempts aimed at mobile banking users in recent days.

People are being sent short SMS messages with a URL link, with messages such as “account notification” or “account verification”. That link is directing them to fake mobile banking websites.

First Alliance Federal Credit Union customers have received this scam SMS:

“First Alliance Federal Credit Union Corporation Notification hXXp://heritagebank. Mobi”

Please do not click on these links or provide your financial details to these sites.

If you receive an SMS that you are suspicious about, please ring our Contact Centre on 13 14 22 to check its legitimacy.
